Synopsis

Samira Ahmed leads a concert commemorating five decades of the world-renowned Monteverdi Choir, an ensemble established by conductor Sir John Eliot Gardiner. The Prom features Beethoven’s monumental Missa Solemnis, performed alongside the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique and a distinguished roster of soloists. The evening begins with a short film charting the Monteverdi Choir's profound influence on the musical landscape throughout its pioneering half-century.
