Synopsis

The Bank Holiday festivities carry on with performances by the Budapest Festival Orchestra, renowned for their Proms appearances. Their program features a selection of orchestral masterpieces from the Habsburg Empire. Viennese waltzes in the Strauss style are complemented by Brahms’s vibrant Hungarian Dances and Kodály’s expansive Dances of Galánta, balanced by the clear, precise textures of a Mozart March. At the heart of the program lies Schubert’s ‘Unfinished’ Symphony.
