Synopsis

Razia Iqbal and Petroc Trelawny have curated a concert uniting the works of four composers whose lives and music were profoundly shaped by the First World War. The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, led by Andrew Manze, will perform Vaughan Williams’s elegiac Pastoral Symphony, a work born from the aftermath of conflict.
