The English Proms continue this weekend with Elgar’s Cello Concerto, a work imbued with a melancholic, autumnal quality born from the aftermath of the First World War. Renowned Norwegian cellist Truls Mørk joins the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for the occasion, making their Proms debut after a journey from Australia.
