Synopsis

The evening’s concert featured music and dance, presented by Samira Ahmed, who was guest of honor from the Royal Albert Hall. The Antonio Marquez Company of Spain partnered with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra for a performance encompassing Ravel's *Boléro* and Falla's *Three-Cornered Hat*. Prior to this, Juanjo Mena conducted Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony, a work Wagner himself lauded as "the apotheosis of the dance."
