Synopsis

Sir John Eliot Gardiner, a leading interpreter of the music of J.S. Bach, will return to the Proms with the Monteverdi Choir and English Baroque Soloists to perform two deeply affecting works recounting episodes from the life of Christ: the Easter Oratorio and the Ascension Oratorio. The performance will be introduced by Suzy Klein.
