The Prom features Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, arguably the most recognizable symphony in Western music, instantly heralded by its dramatic, fate-like motif. Prior to this monumental work, the concert will present Beethoven's Coriolan Overture, a composition of intense, restrained power.
