Synopsis

The Royal Albert Hall resonated with the grandeur of Bach's Mass in B minor, a monumental achievement in Baroque music. Completed the year before his passing, this magnificent work was intended by Bach as a culmination of his sacred compositions, skillfully weaving together elements from earlier pieces. The performance featured The English Concert and its choir, conducted by Harry Bicket, and was presented by Charles Hazlewood.
