Daniel Barenboim’s exploration of the complete Beethoven symphonies continues with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, featuring a pairing of contrasting works: the exquisitely concise Eighth Symphony and the expansive, majestic, and powerfully athletic Seventh. Interspersed within this program, Barenboim's son, Michael Barenboim, performs Pierre Boulez’s *Anthemes 2* for violin and live electronics.
