Synopsis

At the Royal Albert Hall, Katie Derham presents a program featuring two significant works by Brahms, performed by the Chamber Orchestra of Europe under the direction of Bernard Haitink. The concert opens with Brahms' formidable Piano Concerto No. 2, with international soloist Emanuel Ax, a renowned figure in the world of piano. The second half showcases Symphony No. 4, the composer’s final symphony and arguably his most beloved. A brief exploration of Brahms and his music will be offered during
