Synopsis

At the start of the 2011 Proms season, the nineteen-year-old British pianist Benjamin Grosvenor made his debut at the prestigious festival, becoming the youngest soloist to grace a Proms First Night. He will perform Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Jirí Belohlàvek, and will conclude the evening with a dazzling encore – Brahms’s Hungarian Dance No. 5 for solo piano.
