Synopsis

The Royal Albert Hall will host a performance of Jean Sibelius's monumental Second Symphony, led by the BBC Symphony Orchestra and American conductor David Robertson. Israeli-American violinist Gil Shaham will join the orchestra to perform Samuel Barber's Violin Concerto. The concert also marks the world premiere of a new composition by prominent British composer Mark-Anthony Turnage, titled *Hammered Out*.
