Synopsis

Conductor Gianandrea Noseda and the BBC Philharmonic offer a tribute to Italy with a performance featuring Mendelssohn's Italian Symphony, Sir Peter Maxwell Davies's *Roma Amor*, Respighi's *Pines of Rome*, and two arias by Rossini, sung by Alaskan mezzo-soprano Vivica Genaux. The program is presented by Suzy Klein.
