Synopsis

Vassily Sinaisky leads the BBC Philharmonic in a performance of Elgar’s Symphony No. 2 in E flat, marking the 75th anniversary of the composer's passing. The concert program also includes Ernest Moeran's Symphony in G and Gerald Finzi's Grand Fantasia and Toccata, the latter featuring piano soloist Leon McCawley. The event is presented by conductor Charles Hazlewood.
