Synopsis

Lang Lang, a celebrated figure in the classical music world, will return to the Proms to perform Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Minor, a timeless favourite. The concert program also features the UK premiere of 'traces,' a revised work by British composer Rebecca Saunders, alongside Richard Strauss's monumental symphonic poem, the Alpine Symphony. The performance will be given by the Staatskapelle Dresden, an orchestra with a distinguished history, conducted by Fabio Luisi.
