Synopsis

Suzy Klein introduces Stravinsky's exuberant *Rite of Spring* at the Proms, performed by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Ilan Volkov. The program opens with Ravel's choreographic poem, *La Valse*, followed by the world premiere of *Cello Concerto*, a work commissioned specifically for the acclaimed cellist Alban Gerhardt by Korean composer Unsuk Chin.
