Two performances earlier this season offered notable moments. Maxim Vengerov performed Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 4 with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, while Esa-Pekka Salonen conducted the Philharmonia Orchestra in a program featuring Mussorgsky's *Pictures at an Exhibition* and Ravel's Piano Concerto in G, with soloist François-Frederic Guy.
