Synopsis

Alan Titchmarsh presents the concluding concert of the Proms season at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Marking the centenary of Shostakovich's birth, the program features a Russian sensibility, with baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky and violinist Viktoria Mullova performing pieces by Borodin, Rubinstein, and Prokofiev. The BBC Symphony Orchestra, led by Mark Elder, will also perform works by Shostakovich, Verdi, Wagner, and Colin Matthews.
