Synopsis

The NDR Symphony Orchestra, led by chief conductor Christoph von Dohnányi, performs two significant works of the neoclassical period: Ravel's *Le tombeau de Couperin* and Stravinsky's concise Violin Concerto in F minor, featuring soloist Gil Shaham. The concert concludes with Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony, a work exploring themes of destiny, and is introduced by John Sessions.
