Synopsis

Colin Davis leads the London Symphony Orchestra in a concert showcasing two composers deeply resonant with him: Berlioz and Elgar. The program unfolds with Berlioz's vibrant Overture, *Les Francs-Juges*, and concludes with Elgar's majestic Symphony No. 2 in E flat, encompassing James MacMillan's *Confession of Isobel Gowdie*. This work draws inspiration from the witch-hunts of the Scottish Reformation. Mr. MacMillan will join the audience for a discussion during the intermission.
