Synopsis

Elgar's monumental exploration of spiritual transformation, *The Dream of Gerontius*, is brought to life by the combined voices of the Halle Choir and the London Philharmonic Choir, accompanied by the Halle Orchestra under the direction of Mark Elder. The solo roles are taken by mezzo-soprano Alice Coote, tenor Paul Groves, and bass Matthew Best. Verity Sharp directs the performance.
