Synopsis

Leila Josefowicz, a frequent performer at the BBC Proms, will present Mendelssohn's overture "The Hebrides" (Fingal's Cave), Vaughan Williams's "A Sea Symphony" (Symphony No. 1), and Max Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor. The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Gerard Schwarz, will be joined by the Chester Festival Chorus, with soloists Janice Watson (soprano) and Dwayne Croft (baritone). Verity Sharp will host the evening.
