Synopsis

The BBC Philharmonic's debut performance at this year's Proms features a captivating rendition of Stravinsky's fairytale, *The Nightingale*, alongside a remarkable new work. James MacMillan's *A Scotch Bestiary*, a commission for organ and orchestra, promises to be a highlight. Gianandrea Noseda conducts the Stravinsky, while MacMillan himself leads the premiere of his composition. The evening will be introduced by Charles Hazlewood, broadcast live from London's Royal Albert Hall.
