Synopsis

Conductor Osma Vanska leads the BBC Symphony Orchestra in a Proms concert exploring the power of nature. The program features Thea Musgrave's *Turbulent Landscapes*, drawn from six of Turner's most dramatic paintings; Rachmaninov's intensely emotional First Piano Concerto, performed by Stephen Hough; and Carl Nielsen's Symphony No. 4, *The Inextinguishable*, which contemplates the very essence of existence.
