Synopsis

Marin Alsop conducts the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in a performance of John Corigliano’s concerto, *The Red Violin*, following its acclaimed world premiere in Baltimore the previous year. The concerto, written for the renowned violinist Joshua Bell, will be performed by him. The program also features an excerpt from John Adams's opera *Nixon in China* and selections from Prokofiev’s ballet *Romeo and Juliet*.
