Synopsis

From London’s Royal Albert Hall, live coverage of the final evening of this year’s Proms. The BBC Symphony Orchestra, led by chief conductor Leonard Slatkin in his final performance as such, is joined by baritone soloist Thomas Allen, organist Simon Preston, and horn player David Pyatt. The first half of the concert features Dvorak’s Carnival overture, Richard Strauss’s vibrant Horn Concerto No. 1, Vaughan Williams’s Five Mystical Songs, and Barber’s Toccata Festiva.
