The Dresden Staatskapelle, steeped in tradition and recognized as one of the world’s oldest orchestras, with origins tracing back to the 16th century, presents the second of their two Proms, conducted by the esteemed Bernard Haitink. The program, performed at the Royal Albert Hall, includes renditions of Dvorak’s darkly dramatic Seventh Symphony and one of Haydn’s Paris symphonies.
