Synopsis

From the Royal Albert Hall in London, Stephanie Hughes welcomes the European Union Youth Orchestra for a performance of Richard Strauss’s Alpine Symphony, conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy. The program also features Andrew March’s *Marine a travers les Arbres*, the 1998 Masterprize winner for new compositions, and Swedish soprano Hillevi Martinpelto, who will sing Berg’s Seven Early Songs.
