The BBC Proms season proceeds at London’s Royal Albert Hall with a live broadcast, airing concurrently on Radio 3 and introduced by James Naughtie. Andrew Davis will conduct the BBC Symphony Orchestra in the televised premiere of Elgar's Symphony No. 3. Upon Elgar's death in 1934, an incomplete work remained; however, composer Anthony Payne expanded upon the sketches to create a significant symphonic piece.
