From the Royal Albert Hall in London, broadcast simultaneously with Radio 3, Jiri Belohlavek, the BBC Symphony Orchestra’s new Principal Guest Conductor, makes his Proms debut with a program showcasing three works from his native Czech Republic. The concert opens with Dvorak's Te Deum, composed for the occasion of the composer's 1892 visit to America, and features soprano Judith Howarth, baritone Ivan Kusnjer, and the BBC Symphony Chorus.
