Synopsis

Tonight's concert features the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Jerzy Maksymiuk, commencing with Tchaikovsky's Overture to Romeo and Juliet. Originally recorded on August 8th, the British premiere of Tan Dun's *Orchestral Theatre II: Re* was postponed due to a power outage. Consequently, the concert's second half will present a repeat of the recording of Scottish composer James MacMillan's *The Confession of Isobel Gowdie*, performed once more by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orches
