Synopsis

Simon Rattle will lead the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in a concert program beginning with Mendelssohn's Overture to *A Midsummer Night's Dream*, and culminating in Beethoven's Third Symphony, the *Eroica*. The evening will be introduced by James Naughtie.
