Synopsis

From the Royal Albert Hall in London, the opening concert of the 98th season of Henry Wood Promenade Concerts unfolds. Nearly four hundred singers and musicians fill the stage for this grand undertaking. A distinguished array of international soloists, each making their debut at the Proms, is led by the promising American soprano Susan Dunn, already renowned for her interpretations of Verdi. The performance is held in the presence of the Princess of Wales.
