Synopsis

Cuban conductor Odaline de la Martinez presents Rachmaninoff’s *All-Night Vigil*, a seldom-heard work of rare and haunting beauty by the celebrated composer. The piece, a setting of the liturgy for the Russian Orthodox Vigil Service, scored solely for voices, is performed by the USSR Ministry of Culture Chamber Choir, under the direction of Valery Polyansky.
