Synopsis

Presented by Jane Glover. Klaus Tennstedt returns to the podium this season's Henry Wood Promenade concerts, a welcome reappearance after a prolonged period of illness. He will lead the London Philharmonic Orchestra, of which he is Principal Conductor under David Nolan, in a performance featuring the celebrated mezzo-soprano Brigitte Fassbaender as soloist.
