Jane Glover introduces tonight’s concert, the second of six appearances by BBC1 at this year's Proms. The programme features the internationally acclaimed London Sinfonietta in music deeply connected to Benjamin Britten. It opens with "The Wild Rumpus" from *Where the Wild Things Are*, composed by Oliver Knussen, a protégé of Britten and current director of the Aldburgh Festival.
