This performance is the second in a recurring series from the 90th season of the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts. Brahms' Violin Concerto in D, Op. 77, features Ida Haendel (violin) with the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Michael Davis. Brahms composed his sole violin concerto in 1878 for the esteemed violinist Joseph Joachim.
