Synopsis

Sir Georg Solti leads the London Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of David Nolan, in Beethoven's Mass in D, the *Missa solemnis*. Typically, the final concert before the Last Night of the Proms features Beethoven’s Choral Symphony. Tonight, however, the Proms present one of his other significant choral works.
