Synopsis

The third installment of the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts, recorded at the Royal Albert Hall in London, features Colin Davis conducting the London Symphony Orchestra. The evening's premiere showcases Michael Tippett's Concerto for violin, viola, cello and orchestra, with solo performances by Gyorgy Pauk (violin), Nabuko Imai (viola), and Ralph Kirshbaum (cello). The program also includes Sibelius' tone poem, *En Saga*. The concert is introduced by Robert Tear.
