Synopsis

The second installment of the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts, recorded at the Royal Albert Hall in London, features the Hallé Orchestra under the direction of its principal conductor, James Loughran, with Michael Davis as leader. Janet Baker, mezzo-soprano, performs Beethoven's dramatic *scena* and aria, "Ah! Perfido." The concert program also includes Brahms' Symphony No. 4 in E minor.
