Synopsis

Fifty years have passed since the death of Leoš Janáček, the preeminent Czech composer of our time. Tonight's Prom celebrates this anniversary with a performance of two of his principal works, alongside music by his compatriot Dvořák. The entire concert will be broadcast live in stereo from the Royal Albert Hall, a joint presentation by BBC2 and Radio 3.
