Synopsis

This was the fifth of six concerts in the 1975 season of Henry Wood Promenade Concerts held at the Royal Albert Hall. The program featured Mozart's Symphony No. 36 in D major, K. 425 (composed in Linz), followed by Bartók's Piano Concerto No. 1, with Michel Beroff as soloist. The BBC Symphony Orchestra was led by concertmaster Bela Dekany, and conducted by Colin Davis. Robin Ray introduced the evening's performance.
