From the Royal Albert Hall in London, the second half of the 79th Henry Wood Proms concluded with a performance by Norman Del Mar conducting the BBC Symphony Orchestra, with Bela Dekany as principal, and the BBC Singers, directed by John Poole. The program featured Elgar’s March: Pomp and Circumstance No. 1 in D, followed by Walton’s Suite: Facade. An arrangement by Henry Wood then presented a Fantasia on British Sea Songs.
