Synopsis

This was the second of six performances at the Royal Albert Hall during the 1973 Henry Wood Promenade Concerts. Michael Roll performed Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor, accompanied by Bela Dekany, leader of the BBC Symphony Orchestra. The conductor was Pierre Boulez. The program also featured Webern's Passacaglia, Op. 1. Richard Baker introduced the piece. (This concert took place on July 25th.)
