Synopsis

Ida Haendel performs the Brahms Violin Concerto, accompanied by the New Philharmonia Orchestra, under the direction of Emanuel Hurwitz and conducted by Erich Leinsdorf. This performance is the second in a six-part series from the 1971 Henry Wood Promenade Concerts held at the Royal Albert Hall. The program is introduced by Richard Baker.
