Synopsis

This recording marks the beginning of a six-part series drawn from the 1971 season of Henry Wood Promenade Concerts held at the Royal Albert Hall. Radu Lupu, the Romanian pianist who gained prominence with his victory at the 1969 Leeds Piano Competition, performs Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor as soloist.
