Synopsis

The inaugural concert of a series to be presented by the renowned orchestra of Prague features conductor Václav Neumann. The program includes Smetana's overture to *The Bartered Bride*, followed by his symphonic poem *Blanik* (from *Ma vlast*). The second half showcases Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2 in B flat major, with Eva Bernathova as soloist. Richard Baker will introduce the evening’s selections.
