Synopsis

A series of evenings at the seventy-fifth season of Promenade Concerts, held at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Featuring Emil Gilels, who performs Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, accompanied by the BBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Colin Davis and led by principal player Eli Goren. The program also includes Wagner's Overture and Venusberg Music from *Tannhäuser*, performed with the BBC Women's Chorus and the Ambrosian Singers, and introduced by Derek Hart.
