Synopsis

This was the third of four occasions attending the seventy-fourth season of the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall. The New Philharmonia Orchestra performed under the guest leadership of Jack Rothstein, conducted by Sir Adrian Boult and Frederik Prausnitz, with Michael Roll at the piano. The evening was introduced by John Warrack. (This performance was recorded on August 19th.)
