Synopsis

This was the second of four performances in the 74th season of the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall. The BBC Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Hugh Maguire and conducted by Sir Adrian Boult, presented Holst’s Suite "The Planets," accompanied by the BBC Women's Chorus. Richard Baker introduced the program. (This performance was recorded as part of the concert on July 30th.)
